EVE – A German acronym for “Effective depiction of the traffic situation”

To improve the management of traffic, the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) rely on our model-based solution since September 2017, to complement the existing stationary system of Bluetooth, Video Detection and Induction Loops.

DRIVERS collect this data and compare, validate and fuse it in real time. The model-based approach fills data gaps in the network and results in a coherent and comprehensive representation of the current traffic situation.

The predictability of DRIVERS enables the Hamburg Port Authority to respond even more effectively to disturbances in its own road network and to provide traffic information. The separate consideration of the car and lorry traffic enables a better parking space management within the port, a better management of the terminal inflow via pre-gate parking spaces as well as a dynamic traffic management via alternative routes.
