C-ITS Pilot Project Hesse: A further step towards cooperative, networked and automated mobility
C-ROADS project, the founding block of the roll-out of intelligent and networked transport infrastructure Europe-wide has successfully reached its fifth year. The core of the C-ROADS project is the cross-border harmonisation and standardisation of infrastructure-based cooperative intelligent transport systems (C-ITS services). The project is co-funded by the Connecting Europe Facility of the European Union with a total of € 3.03 million.
As part of its strategy for the use of cooperative transport technologies, Hessen Mobil, together with partners from industry and science, has taken the lead in setting up the Hessian Pilot project, thereby further expanding the Hessian DRIVE test-field for automated and networked transport.
The results of the C-ITS Services implemented in the Pilot Hessen were presented during the final event, which took place virtually on 26.10.2020. GEVAS software has been working on the topics Green Light Optimal Speed Advisory (GLOSA) and traffic light switching time prediction in the pilot project Hessen. The results were impressively shown in two demonstrations.
On one hand, our smartphone app trafficpilot was demonstrated as a central variant over mobile communication. On the other hand, a solution via ETSI G5 and OCIT-O V3.0 with Roadside ITS Stations of our parent company AVT STOYE was realised.
